Wine & Vine in Art - 27 July 2011 (social evening)

Hilary Guise

We follow the story of wine in art from ancient Assyrian art and Greek vase painting, through Rome , France, Italy and Holland to 18th century England and the 19th century French Impressionists. The mutual desire for perfection and beauty creates a natural affinity between the language of art and the poetry of wine.

The wines the lecture (and our menu) will feature are Muscadet sur lie and Montepulciano d'Abruzzo
